Synopsis: This dramatic ensemble film centers around young widow Keisha Walter(Lathan). After her husband (Epps) is killed in a drive by shooting by a gang head Deon (Smith), Keisha becomes intimate with the brother of her husband's killer (Diggs).

Infuriated by her daughter's relationship, Keisha's mother Paulette (Bassett) kicks Keisha and her young baby out, and she is forced to live with her sister Rayla (Berry), whom is in the middle of an abusive relationship with her husband (Howard). Tensions rise in the
film between grieving mother-in-law Paulette, and the mother of a killer (Merkerson) as vulnerable Keisha becomes stuck in between it all.
